Atlantic City jumped out to a 5-0 lead after two innings and never looked back in a 9-1 win. Starting pitcher JC Huguet tossed a gem allowing just four hits and an earned run in seven innings of work. Atlantic City got production from their entire lineup as every starter but one had a hit. The Surf scored four times in the second powered by a solo homer off the bat of 3B Billy Hogan and a two run shot by C William Plaza. SS Anthony Granato was 2-for-4 with a run scored and a RBI while 2B Brad Thoma also had two hits and scored a run. Worcester 2B Omar Pena went deep for the first time this season in the fifth inning to break up the shutout.

Sussex 10, Brockton 4

Sussex scored eight times in the first four innings and cruised to a 10-4 win over Brockton. Rox starter Wayne Lundgren was tagged for eight runs on 11 hits in just 3 1/3 innings. Four Skyhawks starters had multi-hit games with 1B Matt Weston collecting three hits in four trips to the plate and SS Kevin Rios going 3-for-5 with a couple of runs scored. RF Jorge Moreno doubled and drove in two in a 2-for-4 night and DH Walter Young added two hits and two RBI. Every Sussex starter had a hit as the Skyhawks tallied 15 hits in all. Reliever Matt Salvato pitched the final five innings and did not allow a run to pick up his first victory.

LF Aregenis Tavarez led off the top of the fourth inning with a triple and scored the game's only run on a wild pitch later in the inning as the Pride beat the Rapidz 1-0. The wild pitch spoiled an otherwise fine performance from Ottawa's Orlando Trias who went 8 2/3 innings giving up just five hits. Hideki Nagasaka pitched 6 1/3 innings for Nashua also surrendering five hits as he picked up his second victory. Andrew Weimer worked a 1-2-3 ninth inning for his second save of the year.

Quebec 7, New Jersey 3

Tied 2-2 in the fifth inning Quebec used two New Jersey errors and three base hits to take a 4-2 lead on their way to a 7-3 road win. Michel Simard allowed nine hits but minimized the damage as he surrendered just three runs over eight innings. He improved to 2-0 on the season with the win. In the seventh inning the Capitales were heavily aided by Jackals pitching as New Jersey control problems led to four bases on balls, a passed ball, and a hit batter in the frame. Quebec took full advantage and mixed in a single and two steals to push across three runs. The top of the Quebec order finished 7-for-11 with four runs scored and four RBI.
