Calgary Hitmen Pass The 100 Point Mark With Sixth Straight Win

Calgary, AB - The Calgary Hitmen tied a franchise record with six powerplay goals Sunday afternoon with a 6-1 win over the Saskatoon Blades.

The victory is Calgary's sixth straight and moves them past the 100 point mark for the fifth time in franchise history.

Michael Stone and Joel Broda both scored twice while Tyler Shattock and Brandon Kozun added singles.

Misha Fisenko chipped in three assists while Martin Jones made 27 saves to pick up the win.

After Saskatoon opened the scoring, the Hitmen replied with six unanswered goals.

Calgary is now 49-17-1-2. At 101 points they move five points ahead of the Brandon Wheat Kings for number one overall in the Western Hockey League. The Wheat Kings have a game in and will visit Prince Albert tonight.

Calgary returns to action Wednesday in Edmonton for the start of a home and home series with the Oil Kings. Edmonton makes the return visit on Friday night. Game time is 7:00 p.m. at the Pengrowth Saddledome.
