Calgary Hitmen Extend Winning Streak To Five Games

Cranbrook, BC - The Calgary Hitmen ran their winning streak to five games with a 6-0 victory in Cranbrook Saturday night over the Kootenay Ice.

Martin Jones made 38 saves to record his third straight shutout and 16th of his career.

Kris Foucault led the scoring attack with his first career hat trick and now has 20 goals on the season He finished the game with four points (3g 1a).

Misha Fisenko, Joel Broda and Ian Schultz also scored for Calgary who fired 46 shots in the victory. Tyler Shattock chipped in three assists.

The victory moves the Hitmen three points ahead of the Brandon Wheat Kings for number one overall in the Western Hockey League. Both teams have four games remaining in the regular season.

Calgary returns to action this afternoon against the Saskatoon Blades in the Beattie Homes Hockey Mums Fight Breast Cancer Game. Game time is 2:00 p.m. at the Pengrowth Saddledome.
