Calgary Hitmen News Release

Calgary, AB - The Calgary Hitmen Hockey Club, in partnership with The Brick, is excited to host The Brick Teddy Bear Toss 2017 on Sunday, Dec. 10, when the Moose Jaw Warriors visit the Scotiabank Saddledome at 2:00 p.m.

Fans can now enjoy the flying fur from a general admission press level seat for just $12 or a concourse standing room location for $14.99 (plus applicable fees). Secure a spot to this world-famous event by visiting Ticketmaster or the 'Dome box office.

Main doors open early at 12:30 p.m. with the Chrysler Club Dining Room and Dutton's Lounge opening for food service at Noon. Fans are encouraged to bring a new small or medium-sized stuffed toy to toss onto the ice when the Hitmen score their first goal. To ensure guest safety large stuffed toys will be accepted for donation while all remaining sizes can be tossed.

There is demand for more than 23,000 teddy bears to be shared by over 60 local agencies including the Calgary Food Bank, Stephen's Backpacks, the Salvation Army and Siksika Children's Services. To help raise funds for the Alberta Children's Hospital and Children's Miracle Network, representatives from The Brick will be selling "Brickley Bear" for $20 at two concourse locations (section 211 and 227) and in the Chrysler Club lobby.

On Sunday, Hitmen players will wear special red-themed teddy bear jerseys with snow-capped numbers that will be sold in an online auction opening Monday, Dec. 11. Fans can bid on the jerseys along with five team-signed helmets at ElevateAuctions.com with proceeds benefiting the Children's Miracle Network.

Since the inaugural 1995 toss, the Hitmen, with generous support from their partners and fans, have provided the community with 323,343 teddy bears.
