
Calderone's 3 RBI Double Lifts Fisher Cats to 5-0 Win Over Trenton

New Hampshire Fisher Cats News Release
(Manchester, NH)---Adam Calderone doubled, driving in three runs and Willie Collazo held Trenton to two hits over 5.2 scoreless innings and the Fisher Cats blanked Trenton 5-0 before 4,361 on Sunday afternoon at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium.
The Fisher Cats (3-1) struck quickly in the contest. With two outs in the bottom of the first inning, Travis d'Arnaud doubled, Mike McDade walked and Craig Stansberry reached on an error to load the bases. Calderone then launched a long fly to centerfield that hit off the wall for a bases clearing double and a 3-0 lead.
3B Mark Sobolewski (2-for-4) delivered run scoring singles in the last of fourth and the last of the eighth to account for the other two New Hampshire runs.
Collazo (1-0) earned the win for the Fisher Cats, striking out four before turning the game over to Ron Uviedo, who went 2.1 innings, with two strikeouts. Clint Everts worked around a hit in the ninth inning to finish up the shut out.
Trenton (1-3) right-hander Dellin Betances took the loss, working 4.2 innings, allowing four runs, only one earned. He allowed five hits, walked two and struck out one.
The homestand continues on Monday night at 6:35pm at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium when the Fisher Cats take on the Reading Phillies.
