
Calder Cup Playoff Action Returns to Scope

NORFOLK, VA - The Calder Cup Playoffs will return to Norfolk Scope this week after the Admirals earned a split on the road in the first two games of the East Division Semifinals against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins last weekend. On Friday, Norfolk scored three unanswered goals in the third period to defeat the Penguins 5-2 in Wilkes-Barre. Jonas Nordqvist had a goal and two assists and Corey Crawford made 28 saves for his first pro playoff win in the victory. The win was Norfolk's first at the Wachovia Arena at Casey Plaza since February 2004. On Saturday, the Penguins netted three power play goals en route to a 5-2 defeat of the Admirals.
The best-of-seven East Division Semifinals come to Scope this week tied at one game apiece. Games 3, 4 and 5 will occur Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 7:15 p.m. Fans should use tickets labeled "Game A" on Monday, "Game B" on Wednesday and "Game C" on Friday.

TEAM NOTEBOOK
- Norfolk's victory at Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Friday night was their first in a 16-game span dating back to February 14, 2004.
- Cam Barker, Troy Brouwer, Jack Skille, David Bolland, Adam Burish, Jonas Nordqvist and Jake Dowell made their pro playoff debuts on Friday night. Brouwer and Nordqvist netted goals in their debuts while Burish scored on Saturday.
- Nordqvist tied a Norfolk post-season record with his three-point night (1g, 2a) on Friday.
