Connecticut Whale News Release
The Wolf Pack started the postseason last week by winning two of the first three games of their Atlantic Division Semifinal series against the Providence Bruins. The two clubs split the first two games at the Hartford Civic Center, with the Wolf Pack taking a convincing 5-1 decision in Game One Wednesday before the Bruins broke back with a 4-2 triumph in Game Two Friday. The next night in Providence, the Wolf Pack regained the series lead with a 5-2 win.
Nigel Dawes racked up the Pack's first five-point game of the season in Game One with two goals and three assists, and Alex Bourret had 2-2-4 in that game. He and Dawes are tied for the AHL playoff points lead with eight points apiece, Dawes with three goals and five assists and Bourret with two goals and six help outs. Bryce Lampman keyed the Pack's Game-Three win with two goals, the first multiple-goal playoff game by a defenseman in Wolf Pack history.
