Memphis - Hector Noesi pitched a season high 115 pitches and delivered seven and two third innings allowing three runs, two earned on seven hits for his eighth win of the season. The 'Cakes open the series beating Memphis 6-3. The win is the second in a row and New Orleans is 3-2 on the trip.

The 'Cakes scored four runs in the third inning. Rosell Herrera opened the inning with a single and advanced to third base with two outs. Jon Berti on a rehab assignment from the marlins delivered a two out single to score the games first run. Isan Diaz walked, Lewis Brinson singled to load the bases and Deven Marrero cleaned the bases with a three run double to extend the lead to 4-0.

Diaz homered in the fifth inning giving the 'Cakes a 5-1 lead. Kyle Keller pitched the final four outs for his seventh save.

The 'Cakes improved to 45-37 and trail first place San Antonio by five games.

The series continues tomorrow at 2:05.
