Last Game: New Orleans scored runs in each of the first six innings on the way to a 9-7 win against the Dodgers Friday night at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark. Isan Diaz quickly put New Orleans on the board with a solo homer in the first inning, but Connor Joe gave the Dodgers a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the inning with a two-run homer out to left-center field. New Orleans scored the next three runs to take a 4-2 lead in the third inning. The Dodgers tied the game in the bottom of the inning on a two-run single by DJ Peters. Peter O'Brien led off the fourth inning with a solo home run, and a two-run homer by Lewis Brinson in the fifth gave New Orleans a 7-4 lead. The Dodgers opened the bottom of the sixth inning with back-to-back doubles by Jake Peter and Angelo Mora, cutting New Orleans' lead to 9-6. Zach Reks followed with a RBI single to cut the Baby Cakes' lead to two runs, but the Dodgers did not collect a hit thereafter. Dodgers starting pitcher Brock Stewart (2-6) was charged with the loss, while New Orleans starting pitcher Robert Dugger (1-0) was credited with the win. RJ Alvarez pitched a scoreless and hitless ninth inning to record his 11th save of the season.
Today's Probable Pitchers: Mitchell White (2-4) returns to the mound for his eighth start after a stint on the Injured List due to a blister...White last started June 17 at El Paso and held the Chihuahuas to two runs and five hits over 5.0 innings (ND). He did not issue a walk for the first time with OKC and recorded six strikeouts in the Dodgers' 3-2 victory...Since joining OKC in late May, White has had his ups and downs. In his first two starts, he allowed 12 runs, but just two runs over his next two starts. He allowed 11 runs over the next two outings June 6 and June 12 before holding the Chihuahuas to two runs June 17...In seven starts with Double-A Tulsa, White went 1-0 with a 2.10 ERA. He owned a .165 opponent's average and 0.83 WHIP, which would have paced the Texas League, but he fell short of officially qualifying among the league leaders. He held opponents scoreless in four of his seven starts while racking up 37 strikeouts over 30.0 IP...White entered the 2019 season rated as the Dodgers' No. 9 prospect by Baseball America...He was selected by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the second round (65th overall) of the 2016 MLB Draft out of Santa Clara University...Tonight is White's first career appearance against Nashville.
Daniel Corcino (4-3) is scheduled to piggyback White...Corcino last pitched June 23 against Memphis, tying his season highs with six runs and nine hits allowed over 5.1 innings with two walks and four strikeouts, as he returned from a stint on the Injured List...Corcino has held opponents to two earned runs or less in eight of his first 10 starts this season and to just one run five times...He spent most of 2018 with OKC, tying for the club lead in starts (19) and ranking second in innings (103.1) and strikeouts (102). He was originally signed as an amateur free agent with the Reds Jan. 11, 2008 and began his second career stint with the Dodgers after signing as a free agent May 11, 2017...Corcino faced Nashville May 10 in OKC and threw two-plus scoreless innings before leaving the game with back tightness. However, that game was suspended in the fourth inning and is currently not an official game until it is resumed and completed in OKC Aug. 20.
Against the Sounds: 2019: 1-2 2018: 7-9 All-time: 184-155 At NAS: 88-81

It marked just the second time in eight years the Sounds won the season series...Since First Tennessee Park opened in 2015, the Dodgers are 20-12 in Music City and have not finished with a record below .500 in any of the four seasons.
Young Bloods: Top-10 Dodgers prospects Gavin Lux and DJ Peters have made quick impacts for the OKC Dodgers since being promoted from Double-A Tulsa Thursday. The 21-year-old infielder Lux is 4-for-7 with two doubles, two walks and three runs scored over his first two Triple-A games. Peters, 23, paced the Dodgers' offense with three hits, including two doubles, and a team-best three RBI Friday. Peters was tied for sixth in the Texas League with 11 homers and tied for seventh with 42 RBI.
I Came in Like a Rek-ing Ball: Zach Reks came off the bench Friday and went 1-for-2 with a RBI. He's now hit safely in six straight games as well as in 17 of his last 18 games, batting .378 (31x82) with 11 multi-hit games, eight homers and 25 RBI. He has also hit safely in 21 of his last 22 starts, going 36-for-99 (.364) with nine home runs, six doubles and 29 RBI...Reks leads all Dodgers minor leaguers with 20 total homers and 58 total RBI between OKC and Double-A Tulsa over 70 games. Between 2017-18, Reks hit just seven homers and tallied 52 RBI over 135 games.
For Pete's Sake: Jake Peter went 7-for-14 with five extra-base hits and three RBI over the four-game New Orleans series. He's totaled 17 hits and eight extra-base hits this month after collecting just 15 hits and six extra-base hits between April and May combined.
Road Map: Entering tonight the Dodgers have won 10 of their last 12 road games and have outscored their opponents, 101-63. The pitching staff has allowed three or fewer runs in seven of 12 games, including two or fewer runs five times...Five of those 10 wins have been by at least six runs.
Around the Horn: The Dodgers have won nine of the last 10 series openers, including five straight road series openers...All-Star reliever Kevin Quackenbush enters tonight with scoreless appearances in 11 of his last 12 games, holding opponents to one run and 10 hits with 19 strikeouts over 12.2 innings...Yesterday the recently promoted Gavin Lux and Dustin May were both named to the 2019 SiriusXM All-Star Futures Game, set for Sunday, July 7 at Progressive Field in Cleveland...Eight of the Baby Cakes' 11 hits went for extra bases Friday, including three home runs, marking the third time in 10 games a Dodgers opponent tallied eight or more extra-base hits. OKC opponents have collected 44 extra-base hits in the last eight games and 56 extra-base hits in the last 10 games...Tonight will be the Dodgers' first game with a designated hitter in place since May 29 at Omaha.
