
Byron Archambault Named Alouettes Director of National Scouting

Montreal - The Montreal Alouettes announced on Thursday that the club has appointed Byron Archambault as their Director of National Scouting.
Archambault was previously employed by the Université de Montreal Carabins from 2017 to 2019, as the Special Teams Coordinator and Linebackers' Coach, while current Alouettes General Manager Danny Maciocia was at the helm of the team.
"I have known Byron for many years and I know that he always works very hard. He possesses substantial knowledge regarding university athletes from across the country", said Maciocia. "I am very excited that he has accepted to join our team and I have no doubt that he will use his talent to find the right players."
The 29-year-old athlete is a former linebacker who played two years for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats after being a second-round pick (17th overall) in the 2015 draft. That same year, he took part in the New York Giants mini-camp.
He hoisted the Vanier Cup with the Montreal Carabins in 2014, at the end of his four-season career in college. He was also named defensive player of the year in Quebec and earned was voted an All-Canadian that same year.
The Montreal native is currently pursuing a master's degree in business administration at HEC.
