
Burke and Sather to Headline Second Annual Gala

Chilliwack BC - November 29, 2007: The Chilliwack Bruins Hockey Club and the Chilliwack Rotary Club are excited to team up once again to hold another Sports Celebrity Gala Dinner and Auction, on Monday, January 21st at the Ramada Plaza and Conference Centre in Abbotsford.
'It's All About Winning' will be the theme of the evening, which will feature two special guests who know all about winning, Anaheim Ducks General Manager and defending Stanley Cup Champion Brian Burke and New York Rangers General Manager and Five Time Stanley Cup Champion Glen Sather. Burke and Sather are two of the most successful managers in the hockey world and are also a part of the Chilliwack Bruins ownership group.
"With Brian and Glen both taking time from their busy schedules to participate in this gala, the event is sure to be a success," says Chilliwack Rotary Committee Chair Bill Coombes. "The Bruins have become such a great part of our community and this is just another way that the team gives back." Bruins President Darryl Porter added "we are happy to again team up with the Chilliwack Rotary Club as the proceeds will go to two excellent causes. I am also appreciative that my partners have found time to once again show their commitment to both our hockey club but also to our community."
Tickets for this spectacular event are $125, with proceeds benefiting the Chilliwack Bruins Education Fund and Rotary Community Projects. A limited number of individual tickets will be made available through the office of the Chilliwack Progress. This event will most surely be a sell out, if you want to be a part of this spectacular evening, do not wait to get your tickets.
