Ulmer Receives Invite For Team Austria

Spokane Chief Defenseman Stefan Ulmer has been selected by his home country, Austria, to play for their Under-20 National Team at the Division IA World Championships. The tournament will run from December 9th through the 15th in Bad Tolz, Germany.

Ulmer has traveled with the Chiefs for their road trip through the Central Division and be on Spokane's roster for Friday, Saturday and Sunday's games in Calgary, Medicine Hat and Red Deer. The 17-year-old will fly out of Edmonton on Monday to join Team Austria. The Chiefs lone selection in the 2007 CHL Import Draft will miss seven games prior to the Holiday break.

Brenden Kichton, Spokane's third round selection in the 2007 CHL Import Draft, will join the team for their games in Red Deer, Edmonton and Lethbridge.
