PRINCE GEORGE, BC - The Prince George Cougars, PGTV, 101.3 The River, 99.3 The Drive, and the Prince George Citizen are pleased to announce the winner of their "Take a Cougar to School" promotion.
Owen Stewart, an 8 year old student at Pinewood Elementary School, was chosen and will now take Dana Tyrell to school with him on Friday December 7 from 11:30am-12:30pm.
Children ages 5-13 were eligible to participate in the promotion, which received nearly 200 entries.
The Prince George Citizen will be publishing Owen's winning application letter, along with his photo.
"Due to the great response received from this promotion, we will continue to accept entries on our website. We hope to give more students an opportunity to take our players to school for the remainder of our season", says Cougars Business Manager Brandi Brodsky.
The Cougars invite all local media to follow Dana Tyrell, as he accompanies Owen Stewart to school on December 7 from 11:30am-12:30pm.
