Burgess's Team Leading 15th Homer Not Enough as Patriots Fall to Revs 11-6

York, PA - The York Revolution (39-29, 63-75) defeated the Somerset Patriots (39-29, 89-49) 11-6 Saturday evening at Santander Stadium.

In the top of the first inning first baseman Thomas Neal stroked a two RBI double to give Somerset a 2-0 advantage.

First baseman Telvin Nash clubbed a home run (13) to cut the deficit in half in the bottom of the second inning at 2-1.

York evened the contest at 2-2 in the bottom of the third inning as right fielder Brandon Boggs drilled a RBI single.

Center fielder Jonny Tucker launched a home run (6) to put Somerset back in front 3-2 in the top of the fourth inning.

The Revolution exploded for five runs in the bottom of the fourth inning to catapult in front 7-3. Both catcher Luis De La Cruz and left fielder Nick Ferdinand poked RBI singles. Tucker committed an error allowing an additional run to cross then designated hitter Andres Perez pounded a two RBI double.

The Patriots received a home run (15) by Michael Burgess as the score became 7-4 in the top of the fifth inning.

Perez clubbed a three run home run (16) to give York a 10-4 lead in the bottom of the fifth inning.

Perez tallied a RBI single to give York a 11-4 cushion in the bottom of the seventh inning.

Second baseman Nate Spears slashed a two RBI single in the top of the eighth inning making the contest 11-6.

Logan Williamson earned the win (9-12) allowing six runs in 7.1 innings of work. Matt Zielinski suffered the loss (8-4) yielding seven runs on 10 hits in 3.1 innings of work.
