
Bulls' Late Run Leads Team Past Vipers

EDINBURG, Texas - The Rio Grande Valley Vipers (13-9), the NBA G League affiliate of the Houston Rockets, suffered a 111-108 loss to the Windy City Bulls (11-13) on Wednesday night at Bert Ogden Arena.
As the clock winded down to 6:42 Andrew Funk led Windy City to a 15-point advantage after having scored six points. The Vipers were not far behind as the team had 12 points, seven of which were contributed by Houston Rockets Two-Way player Jermaine Samuels Jr.. Funk continued to pave the way for the Bulls as the team walked away with a 29-22 lead at the end of the first quarter.
Jarrett Culver tipped off the second quarter by scoring 10 points which helped the Vipers reach a 34-34 tie with 8:42 left. Windy City responded by going on a 7-0 run and took a 41-34 advantage. The Bulls remained with the upper hand and sent the game into the intermission with a score of 61-51.
In the third, RGV was down by as many as 19 points. However, the home team quickly turned things around and cut the deficit down to three points. At the end of the third, the visiting team led 82-79.
RGV tied it up at 95-95 with 5:39 remaining in the game. The lead was then interchanged between both teams until Windy City went on an 8-0 run and walked off with a 111-108 win.
The Vipers were led by Jalen Lecque who had 18 points. Samuels Jr. finished the night with a double-double with 17 games and 10 rebounds. Both Ray Spalding and Houston Rockets Two-Way Nate Hinton finished with 16 points each. Culver ended with 13 points.
Chicago Bulls Two-Way Adama Sanogo paved the way for Windy City with 26 points. Chicago Bulls Two-Way Henri Drell put up a double-double with 21 points and 10 rebounds. Funk put up 17 points.
