Bulls game kicks off live regional coverage on C-SET

The Durham Bulls and Carolinas Sports Entertainment Television (C-SET) today announced the first live minor league baseball game to be covered on C-SET, the regional sports programming network, is scheduled for June 7, when the Durham Bulls travel to Virginia to battle the Norfolk Tides. It is the first of three live games featuring the Bulls, who also have 44 games broadcast on tape delay throughout the 2005 season on C-SET.
"This is a tremendous honor for the Bulls and great exposure for Durham," Durham Bulls General Manager Mike Birling said, "We've had fantastic local TV coverage from FOX 50 Digital and Time Warner Digital Cable. This is another great opportunity to bring Durham Bulls baseball into the homes of fans throughout the region."
Naomi Travers, executive vice president of media rights and entertainment believes the decision to show Durham Bulls Baseball games will help tie C-SET into the sports communities of North and South Carolina.
"The Carolinas have a rich minor league baseball tradition, and C-SET is pleased to offer such a robust schedule," said Naomi Travers, executive vice president of media rights and entertainment. "Future major league stars will appear on C-SET this season, and we expect this to be the beginning of our own tradition."
Along with Durham Bulls Baseball, C-SET is home to the NBA's Charlotte Bobcats and the WNBA's Charlotte Sting, plus college football, college basketball, college baseball, news and original programming. C-SET is part of the Charlotte Bobcats organization that also includes the Charlotte Bobcats of the National Basketball Association, the Charlotte Sting of the Women's National Basketball Association, and the New Charlotte Arena, opening in the fall of 2005.
