
Bulls Fall to Lynx, 4-3

Durham, NC - Ottawa's Jason Jaramillo went 3-4 with two home runs to lead the Lynx over the Bulls, 4-3 on Thursday night at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park.
The game was tied at two entering the sixth inning until Jaramillo hit his second solo home run of the night to lead off the sixth inning. Gary Burnham followed with a single to center field and eventually scored when Pedro Swann hit a double to right field to give the Lynx a 4-2 lead. The Bulls pulled within one in the bottom half of the inning when Jonny Gomes scored from second on a base hit from Dustan Mohr to make the score 4-3, but J.D. Durbin (2-4) got out of the inning and Anderson Garcia threw three perfect innings to earn the save.
Jaramillo's first home run came in the first inning to give Ottawa an early 1-0 advantage. Wes Bankston responded in the bottom of the second inning with a two-run home run to give the Bulls a 2-1 lead, but the Lynx tied the game in the fourth inning with an RBI double by Burnham.
RHP Andy Sonnanstine (6-4) took the loss for the Bulls, allowing four runs and 10 hits over six innings while striking out just one. Durbin also pitched six innings, giving up three runs, six hits, and eight walks, and striking out eight.
This was the last regular season game at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park for the Ottawa Lynx, as they will move to Allentown, PA and become the Lehigh Valley IronPigs in 2008.
