TODAY'S GAME: This evening, the Buffalo Bisons take on the Indianapolis Indians in the final game of a four-game series from Victory Field (7:00 p.m.). The Herd is looking to build off of their 11-6 victory last night an earn a split of the series. The Bisons will start RHP Sean Smith tonight. Smith earned his team-leading fifth win on Saturday in Louisville (6.0IP, 8H, 4R, 4ER, 2K). The Indians will counter with RHP Bryan Bullington.

ROOKIE SENSATION: Triple-A rookie Sean Smith is fourth in the IL with his 2.38ERA. That leads the team as does his five wins. Smith has posted a 3-0 record with a 2.60ERA over his last three starts with 13 strikeouts in 17.1 innings.

THE FRANCHISE: Outfielder Ben Francisco is second in the International League in hitting. After going 1-4 yesterday, his season average is .349. Francisco has the Bisons longest active hit streak at 12 games. Since May 18, Francisco has hit at a .420 (21-50) clip with five doubles, a home run, eight RBI and seven runs scored. His 59 hits are tied for fifth in the IL.

CHOO-CHOO: Buffalo outfielder Shin-Soo Choo is currently on a six-game hit streak, all of which have been multi-hit performances. Since May 22, Choo is batting .464 (13-28) with a double, two triples, six runs scores, seven RBI, two walks and three stolen bases. The stretch has raised his season average over 60 points (.198 - .261) in just eight days.

ALL-STAR SKIP: The International League announced today that Bisons manager Torey Lovullo will be an IL coach for the 20th Triple-A All-Star Game on July 11, 2007. The Bisons have been in first place since May 5 and lead the entire league with 18 road wins. Buffalo's 261 runs scored are also tops in the league.

MULTI-HITTERS: Five Bisons players had multi-hit games yesterday: Luis Rivas (3-5, 3R, 2B, HR, RBI), Andy Marte (2-5, R 2B, HR, 4RBI). Shin-Soo Choo (3-5, 2R, 2RBI, 3SB), Jason Cooper (2-5, 2B, 2RBI), Franklin Gutierrez (2-4, 2R, 2B, BB).

ROSTER MOVE: The Cleveland Indians have recalled outfielder Franklin Gutierrez for his second stint with the team this year. Gutierrez is hitting .341 with the Bisons, fourth highest in the International League. He leaves the Herd on a seven-game hit streak where he has averaged .344 (11-32).
