The PawSox suffered just their second shutout of the season on Thursday night, falling in Durham, 5-0. The Bulls got a solo home run in the bottom of the first from Jesus Feliciano and a three run shot in the sixth by Henry Wrigley. Wrigleys' homer came after a catchers' interference call against Ryan Lavarnway wiped out an inning ending double play. Daisuke Matsuzaka worked six and two thirds innings, allowing the 5 runs (4 earned). Dice-K fanned three hitters. The defensive play of the game was made by Che-Hsuan Lin a the center fielder leapt and robbed Hideki Matsui of a home run in the bottom of the eighth.

The PawSox managed just 4 hits. Pedro Ciriaco, Jose Iglesias, and Scott Podsednik singled and Lavarnway doubled. The PawSox (27-15) lead in the North Division is 2 games. The loss was the first against Durham in 7 games. The series wraps up on Friday night at 7:05 p.m. Ross Ohlendorf (3-3) faces Chris Archer (3-4). Kevin Youkilis is scheduled to continue his rehab assignment, playing third base.
