TODAY'S GAME: Tonight, the Buffalo Bisons take on the Gwinnett Braves in the third game of a four-game series at Coca-Cola Field (7:05 p.m.). The Herd is coming off a 14-7 win last night. The 14 runs scored are the most by the Bisons this season. The Braves remain atop the IL South while the Bisons are in third place in the IL North Division, 3.5 games back of Pawtucket.

vs. BRAVES: The Bisons are 4-2 against the Braves this season. The two teams met May 7-10 at Coolray Field with all four games being decided by three runs or less. In this series at Coca-Cola Field, the Braves won game one by five runs (6-1) while the Bisons took last night's contest by seven (14-7).

JUST SCHWIN BABY!: RHP CHRIS SCHWINDEN starts tonight for the third time this season at Coca-Cola Field. He is coming off a strong performance in his last outing on Saturday in Charlotte where he struck out eight over six innings of two-run ball. Schwinden also posted eight strikeouts in a start at Gwinnett on May 7, a 4-3 win over the Braves.

STREAKIN': OF VINNY ROTTINO had two hits last night to extend his hitting streak to 19 games. It is the longest active streak in the International League, only one shy of tying the 20-game hit streak set by Toledo's Brad Eldred. INF VALENTINO PASCUCCI also extended his hit streak to 10 games, the second time this season he has reached a double digit streak.

Q-TIP: INF OMAR QUINTANILLA had two hits last night, including his second triple of the season. He also drove in three runs, giving him 21RBI on the season. The Bisons' shortstop has done well at the plate against the Braves this year, going 9-18 with a home run and 5RBI in six games.

BISONS BITS: INF MATT TUIASOSOPO hit the first Inside-the-Park home run for a Bisons player at Coca-Cola Field since June 22, 2001 (OF Karim Garcia). He also had four RBI in last night's win...LHP GARRETT OLSON picked up his first win as a Bison last night improving his record to 1-3...INF VALENTINO PASCUCCI added to his team-leading RBI count with two more last night bringing his season total to 27.

METS UPDATE : The Mets' (20-17) lost 6-3 to the Cincinnati Reds last night in the first game of their series. Former Bison OF LUCAS DUDA had a solid day at the dish going 3-4 with a run scored and RBI. Game two of the series with the Reds is this afternoon (1:05 p.m.) start today at Citi Field with RHP R.A. DICKEY getting the nod for New York looking to improve on his 5-1 record.
