Game one of the doubleheader between the Bullfrogs and the Woodchucks was a quick and eventful six inning contest. Play was resumed in the top of the fourth inning, which is when the season opener on May 29th was postponed. The Woodchucks led 1-0 at the start.

Pitcher Robert Youngdahl (Notre Dame) played from both sides, and he gave himself some help at the plate. He came up to bat in the fifth inning with Jose Godinez (St. Norbert) and J.D. Crowe (Auburn) on the bases, and hit his second home run of the season, giving the Bullfrogs a 3-1 lead over the Woodchucks.

Going in to the sixth inning, J.D. Crowe drove in Jimmy Coady (UW-Stevens Point) to give Green Bay an insurance run and a 4-1 lead over Wisconsin.

Wisconsin threatened in the seventh inning to pull within one run after an RBI triple from Garrett Rucker (Arkansas) and a RBI double from Matt Tellor (Southeast Missouri), but were unable to tie it up, trailing 4-3 after seven innings.

Youngdahl would finished the eighth and left a save situation for reliever Jonathon Tripp (Texas Tech). Tripp came in and pitched another clean inning for the second straight night. Green Bay improved to 6-7 with the 4-3 win over the Woodchucks. Youngdahl earned the win, and Henry Weiler (Jefferson County) was given the loss.

Game two started shortly after and turned in to a pitcher's duel between Green Bay's Derek Peterson (Gonzaga) and Wisconsin's Adam Kramer (St-Paul Concordia).

It took till the fifth inning for both teams to get the bats going. Jimmy Coady (UW-Stevens Point) drove in Trevin Sonnier (TCU) on a sacrifice fly to deep center. The Woodchucks threatened early in the bottom of the fifth and score with Brandon Krieg (Purdue) as Tyler Stieb (Cal State Fullerton) was picked off.

Green Bay wouldn't allow the game to stay tied for long as Tripp Martin (Samford) showed his power yet again. Martin hit his fourth home run of the season driving in Robert Youndahl (Notre Dame) to give Green Bay a 3-1 lead. Green Bay wouldn't be done a sacrifice fly from J.D. Crowe (Auburn) to give the Bullfrogs a 4-1 lead over the Woodchucks.

The late inning woes continued for the Bullfrogs, however, as the Woodchucks scored four runs in the bottom of the seventh and final inning to walk-off on Green Bay. The biggest played of the inning was an error on Green Bay right-fielder Bryant Burleson, who is typically a second-baseman, that allowed to runs to score. A sacrifice fly from Jake Peter (Creighton) won it for the Woodchucks, securing a split of the doubleheader.

Michael Fain (Nevada) took the loss. It was his second blown save of the season. Anthony Cortez (Cal State Northridge) earned the victory for Wisconsin.

The Bullfrogs return home to Joannes Stadium on Wednesday to take on the Eau Claire Express in game one of a two game series. It is $1 Dog Days of Summer presented by Y100 and also the Hot Dog Hundo giveaway, which means that one of those hot dogs could send you home $99 dollars richer.
