
Bullfrogs Routed by Mallards in Madison

All Star Bradley Wallace (4-2) took his second loss of the season on Tuesday as the Bullfrogs were routed by the Mallards 16-4 at Warner Park in Madison.
Wallace had only given up six earned run on the season coming into play on Tuesday, but allowed seven runs in two and a third of an inning in the loss on Tuesday.
Madison took a 2-0 lead in the second inning on one of Jack Livington's two home runs on the night. The first was a two run shot that plated Tyler Marincov.
The Mallards added five more in the thid to run Wallace from the game and take a 7-0 lead over the Bullfrogs. The big hit was Tyler Marincov's two run double. Marincov had four hits on the night.
Zimmerman hit another home run, this time a solo shot off of Robb Woodcock, in the fifth to extend Madison's lead to 8-0.
The Mallards added three more in the sixth and four in the seventh to take a 15-0 lead.
The Bullfrogs were held to just one hit through the first seven innings by Madison starter Bobby Poyner, who earned the victory on the night.
The Bullfrogs finally got on the board in the eighth inning. Ransom LaLonde scored on an RBI fielder's choice by Ryan Matranga, and then David Armendariz blasted his third home run of the season, a three run shot to right to cut the Madison lead to 15-4.
The Mallards tacked on one run off of Green Bay outfielder turned pitcher Collin Shaw in the eighth inning to make the final 16-4.
Woodcock, Ben Graff, Mac Acker, and Shaw each pitched in relief for the Bullfrogs, who are now 4-8 in the second half of the season.
