Bullfrogs Make First Trip to Lakeshore to Battle Chinooks

Mequon, Wis. - Following a series split against the St. Cloud Rox, the Green Bay Bullfrogs (19-20, 2-2 Second Half) will travel to Mequon, Wis. for the first time this season to play a two-game series on Sunday and Monday against the Lakeshore Chinooks (27-11, 3-1 Second Half).

The Bullfrogs and Chinooks have met twice this season, with both contests at Joannes Stadium in Green Bay. The two teams split the two-game series with the Bullfrogs taking game one on June 8th by a score of 9-2, before Lakeshore evened the series with a 2-1 win on June 9th.

In Green Bay's most recent game, on Saturday night in Green Bay, the Bullfrogs fell to the St. Cloud Rox by a score of 7-1. Green Bay managed only five hits on the night, but were led by Ryan Howell (Chabot) who was 3-for-4 on the night. Howell scored the only run of the night for the Bullfrogs with a solo home run in the bottom of the fifth inning. It was Howell's team-high fourth home run of the season.

The Bullfrogs will start Garrett Harrison (St. Cloud State) on the mound on Sunday night. The six-foot-five left-hander will be making his seventh start of the season for the Bullfrogs. In six games so far this season, Harrison owns a 2-2 record with a 5.21 ERA. In his most recent appearance, on June 30th against the Wisconsin Woodchucks, Harrison earned a no decision after throwing four innings, and gave up three runs on four hits.

Cam Vieaux (Michigan State) will start for the Chinooks on Sunday night. Vieaux, who is also a six-foot-five left-handed pitcher, is 2-1 this season with a 2.45 ERA. In two of his four starts on the year, Vieaux has thrown six innings of shut-out baseball. His most recent start, on June 30th against Kenosha, Vieaux threw five innings and gave up three runs (two earned) on six hits while earning a no decision.

First pitch is scheduled for 5:05 pm from Kapco Park in Mequon, Wis. on Sunday night.
