Battle Creek, Mich. - The host Battle Creek Bombers (3-9) used a huge six-run sixth inning to roll past the visiting Green Bay Bullfrogs (4-9) by a final score of 10-2 from C.O. Brown Stadium. The stoppage of play due to inclement weather began before the start of the bottom of the seventh inning. Today's game was eventually called, which gave Battle Creek the eight-run victory.

The Bullfrogs wrap-up the Michigan road trip and two-game series with the Bombers tomorrow evening from C.O. Brown Stadium. First pitch is slated for a 6:05 p.m. CT start. Fans can listen to all of the play-by-play action on WOCO Radio (107.1 FM, 1260 AM) or online at WOCO.Caster.FM.

Blaise Maris (Sophomore, Florida Tech) and Rudy Aguilar (Sophomore, St. Johns) both led the Green Bay offensive attack with a 2-for-3 effort at the dish, tallying a pair of singles each. Cooper Morrison (Sophomore, UC Davis), Eddy Gonzalez (Junior, Incarnate Word) and Jake Finkbeiner (Freshman, Wayne State Univ.) all finished 1-for-3 in the contest with a base-hit.

Battle Creek struck first in their opening frame on a sacrifice fly to center field to give the hosts an early 1-0 advantage. Green Bay answered quickly in the following frame on back-to-back singles by Morrison and Aguilar to put two runners on base with nobody out. Morrison scored from third base after Collin Luty (Junior, Northern Kentucky) drove him home on a fielder's choice to even the score at 1-1. Aguilar the scored from third base on the Bomber's catcher throw down to second base to put the Frogs in front 2-1.

The Bombers responded immediately in the bottom of the second, scoring two on a wild pitch and one on a RBI single to give Battle Creek a 4-2 lead. Both teams were held scoreless through the next three innings of action before the Bombers opened the offensive floodgates in the sixth, tallying six runs to stretch the margin out to a commanding 10-2 advantage.

Battle Creek starting pitcher Anthony Brophy got the win, improving to 1-1. Green Bay starter Hugh Chapman (Freshman, Georgia Tech) took the loss, falling to 0-2. Bullfrogs reliever Eli Baez (Sophomore, St. Bonaventure) posted a strong outing in relief, allowing one earned on two hits in three innings of work with three strikeouts.
