Brantford Bulldogs News Release
HAMILTON, ONTARIO. The Hamilton Bulldogs extended their win streak to three in a row with a 4-3 overtime win Saturday over the Sarnia Sting at FirstOntario Centre.
Sarnia was first on the scoreboard at 13:03 of the 1st period but less than 90-seconds later Nicolas Mattinen (13) tipped home a point shot on the power-play to tie the game 1-1.
The Bulldogs carried the momentum into the 2nd with two goals, one from Arthur Kaliyev (28) for a 2-1 lead followed less than a minute later by a Zachary Jackson (2) marker to make it 3-1. The Sting responded with one of their own before the period ended to cut the Hamilton lead to 3-2 and then scored the only goal of the 3rd period on the power-play to tie the game 3-3.
Exactly one minute into the extra period, Arthur Kaliyev (29) went to the net and was hauled down, but the puck slipped over the goal line to give the Bulldogs the 4-3 win.
