Bulldogs Head Into Three-Game Week Winners Of Five Straight

After back-to-back wins this past Friday and Saturday on the road against the American Hockey League West Division-leading Abbotsford Heat, the Hamilton Bulldogs (17-14-0-4) are currently the hottest team in the AHL with five straight wins and points in six consecutive games. The 'Dogs head into another three-games-in-three-days weekend looking to keep their best streak of this season alive.

On Friday, January 10th, the 'Dogs will be in Rochester, New York to take on the Rochester Americans (AHL affiliate of the Buffalo Sabres) at Blue Cross Arena 7:05 p.m. in the first half of a home-and-home series with their North Division rivals. The game will be the fifth of eight meetings between the two clubs this season.

On Saturday, January 11th, Hamilton and Rochester will go head-to-head in the second half of the home-and-home series, this time at Copps Coliseum at 7:00 p.m. The contest will mark the sixth of eight match ups between the 'Dogs and Amerks this season.

On Sunday, January 12th, the Bulldogs will host the Iowa Wild (AHL affiliate of the Minnesota Wild) at Copps Coliseum at 4:00 p.m. in the second and final meeting between the two clubs this season.

Heading into the third period with a 2-0 lead, the Hamilton Bulldogs weathered a dominant third-period push by the West Division-leading Abbotsford Heat (23-10-1-1) and snuck away with a 2-1 victory on Friday night at Abbotsford Entertainment & Sports Centre in Abbotsford, British Columbia. With the win, the 'Dogs tied their season-best four game winning streak and established a season-best five-game point streak. Forward Justin Courtnall and Christian Thomas scored for Hamilton, while Dustin Tokarski made 28 saves in goal for the victory.

Hamilton Bulldogs Hockey Hour is an interactive one-hour radio show on AM 900 CHML co-hosted by Hamilton Bulldogs Play-By-Play Announcer Derek Wills and Colour Commentator Al Craig.
