
Bulldogs Halt Moose with 3-1 Victory

Hamilton, ON - The Hamilton Bulldogs defeated the Manitoba Moose 3-1 on Tuesday night at Copps Coliseum. Max Pacioretty recorded a goal and an assist while Curtis Sanford made his season debut posting 19 saves on 20 shots for the win.
The Bulldogs opened the game's scoring at 17:43 of the first frame with a power-play marker. Aaron Palushaj received the puck from Frederic St. Denis before centering a pass to Max Pacioretty. Pacioretty snapped a shot past Manitoba starting goaltender Eddie Lack.
The Moose tied the game 1-1 at 7:21 of the second stanza. Sergei Shirokov carried the puck into the right corner of the 'Dogs zone before dishing a pass to Cody Hodgson, who one-timed a shot past Hamilton starting goaltender Curtis Sanford.
Mathieu Carle regained the lead for the 'Dogs when he scored at 1:10 of the final frame. The puck rolled off the stick of David Desharnais and over to Mathieu Carle, who blasted a shot from the point. The puck sailed over the glove of Lack and into the top of the net. Palushaj added an empty net goal at 19:58 to seal the win for Hamilton.
The 'Dogs host the Moose for their second game of a two-game back-to-back series tomorrow night at 7:00 p.m. at Copps Coliseum. All regular season Hamilton Bulldogs broadcasts on AM 820 CHAM will begin with a pre-game show 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start time. All pre-game shows during 'Dogs home games will be broadcast live from the main concourse at Copps Coliseum.
