Brantford Bulldogs News Release
HAMILTON, ONT. - The Oshawa Generals (6-7-2-0) got multi-point games from four different players on their way to a 4-1 win over the Hamilton Bulldogs (5-7-0-0).
The first period saw several big saves from both Oshawa starting goaltender Jeremy Brodeur and Hamilton starter Charlie Graham to keep the game scoreless heading into the second when Oshawa forward Matt Mistele would fire a puck from a bad angle over the left shoulder of Graham to lift the visitors to a 1-0 lead. Joe Manchurek and Sam Harding would get the assists on the power play goal at 2:51.
The score would stay that way until Anthony Cirelli would circle around the net and find Kenny Huether in front who put one past Graham just 1:22 into the third. Jalen Smereck would get the second assist.
The Gens would go up 3-0 when, after several miraculous saves by Graham, Manchurek backhanded the puck off the back of the 'Dogs keeper from behind the goal line for his second point of the night. Cirelli and Huether would get the assists on the goal at 7:22.
The 'Dogs would break Brodeur's shutout bid at 10:41 when Michael Cramarossa would jump on a juicy rebound left off a Niki Petti wrist shot from the point. Cole Candella would get the second assist on the goal.
That's as close as the Bulldogs would get though as Mistele would pot his second of the night into an empty net to close out the 4-1 victory for the Generals. The goal at 18:57 was assisted by Michael Dal Colle and Manchurek.
The Bulldogs are back in action on Friday, October 30 to take on the Mississauga Steelheads at the Hershey Centre in Mississauga. Puck drop is set for 7:30 p.m. The 'Dogs then head back home to the FirstOntario Centre on Saturday, October 31 for a matinee Halloween day game against the Barrie Colts. Game time is 2:00 p.m.
