WINNIPEG, MB - Mikhail Grabovski had a goal and an assist to lead the Hamilton Bulldogs to a 4-3 shootout win over the Manitoba Moose on Thursday night at MTS Centre. With the shootout win, Hamilton's record improves to 18-10-1-1.

Each team had a goal in the first period. Jean-Philippe Cote fed Corey Locke with a long pass between two Moose defenders, sending him in on a breakaway, and Locke found the back of the net to give Hamilton a 1-0 lead just 6:02 into the opening frame. Manitoba then evened the score when veteran Mike Keane posted his fifth goal of the season at the 7:49 mark. Alex Edler's initial shot from the point was stopped by 'Dogs netminder Yann Danis, but the rebound went right to Keane who made the score 1-1.

Manitoba scored again at 5:25 of the middle stanza when Shaun Heshka notched his first goal of the season. Edler again let a hard shot go from the point and this time his rebound bounced right to Heshka who gave the Moose a lead.

Andrei Kostitsyn, who was trying to pass the puck in front of the Moose net, banked in his 10th goal of the season to tie the game 1-1. Grabovski drew the lone assist on the goal that came at 5:09 of the third period.

At 10:52 of the final frame, Brandon Reid gave the Moose another lead with his 10th tally of the season. The goal made the score 3-2 and was assisted by Jason Jaffray.

The Bulldogs battled back again when Grabovski banged home a pass from Duncan Milroy at the 15:32 mark of the third period. Jan Hejda also recorded a helper on the goal that pulled the 'Dogs even at 3-3.

After overtime solved nothing, the game was forced to a shootout. Andrei Kostitsyn, Corey Locke, Duncan Milroy, and Matt D'Agostini, who scored the shootout-winning goal, all tallied for Hamilton in the shootout. Brandon Reid, Jason Jaffray and Mike Keane were successful for the Moose, but Yann Danis turned aside the other seven Manitoba shooters to earn his ninth win of the season.
