Bulldogs Drop Hard Fought OT Game to Storm

HAMILTON, ONTARIO. The Hamilton Bulldogs wrapped up a home and home series with the Guelph Storm Saturday at FirstOntario Centre with a 4-3 overtime loss.

Guelph led 2-1 after the 1st period with the Bulldogs goal coming from Isaac Nurse (6) who scored from his backhand.

The Storm scored on the powerplay midway through the 2nd period to extend their lead to 3-1 but minutes later, Zachary Jackson (1) picked up his first of the season to again pull the Bulldogs within one at 3-2.

Less than two minutes into the 3rd period, Liam Stevens (4) weaved his way through the Storm zone and wristed home the tying goal to send the game into overtime tied 3-3.

After a couple of good chances for the Bulldogs in overtime, the Storm jumped on a loose puck to end the game 4-3.

The Bulldogs are in Erie on Monday, December 31st before returning home to take on the Kingston Frontenacs on Wednesday January 2nd at FirstOntario Centre at 7 pm.
