
Bulldogs Close out Season with Games Versus Monsters, Crunch

The Hamilton Bulldogs will finish their 18th American Hockey League season this week with one last stop in Cleveland, Ohio on Tuesday, followed by their season finale at home on Saturday.
On Tuesday, April 15th, the Bulldogs will visit the Lake Erie Monsters (American Hockey League affiliate of the Colorado Avalanche) at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland at 7:00 p.m. The contest will be the 10th and final matchup between the 'Dogs and Monsters in 2013-2014 as well as Hamilton's fifth visit to Cleveland this season.
The Bulldogs return to FirstOntario Centre on Saturday, April 19th for their season finale when they will host the Syracuse Crunch (AHL affiliate of the Tampa Bay Lightning) at 7:00 p.m. The game will mark the fourth time the 'Dogs and Crunch will go head-to-head this season, as well as Syracuse's only visit to Hamilton in 2013-2014.

After scoreless first and second periods, the St. John's IceCaps exploded for three goals in the third period and the Hamilton Bulldogs couldn't make up the deficit as the 'Dogs fell 3-1 to the IceCaps on Tuesday evening at Mile One Centre in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador. Hamilton forward Connor Crisp scored his first professional goal, while goaltender Devan Dubnyk stopped 36 shots in defeat.

Down 3-1 to the St. John's IceCaps late in the second period, the Hamilton Bulldogs scored two unanswered goals in regulation to get the game tied, then came through in the shootout to complete the comeback as Hamilton dropped St. John's 4-3 at Mile One Centre on Wednesday evening. Defencemen Greg Pateryn and Drew Schiestel as well as forward Mike Blunden scored for Hamilton in regulation, then forwards Sven Andrighetto and Martin St. Pierre sealed the victory with goals in the shootout. Bulldogs goaltender Devan Dubnyk made 25 saves in the win.

The Hamilton Bulldogs scored twice in the third period to force extra time on Saturday evening, but ultimately fell to the Rochester Americans 4-3 in a shootout in front of 6,314 fans at FirstOntario Centre. Forwards Connor Crisp, Joonas Nattinen and Gabriel Dumont scored in regulation for Hamilton, while goaltender Robert Mayer stopped 38 shots in the loss.

HAMILTON BULLDOGS SUMMER HOCKEY CAMP
The Hamilton Bulldogs are proud to present their 2014 Summer Hockey Camp featuring on-ice instruction from the highly-touted Kelly Reed. Our camp (ages eight to 13) runs from July 28th to August 1st and will consist of three hours of on-ice training and three hours of off-ice training each day. On-ice training will focus on skill development, power skating and game tactics. Off-ice training will include a combination of aerobic and anaerobic training as well as games such as ball hockey, soccer, football, etc. We will also offer campers a unique opportunity to check out all of the newest Reebok-CCM equipment and we will take the campers on a tour of the Bulldogs' dressing room to get a sneak peek of what life as a professional hockey player is all about.
All on-ice skills will be run by Kelly Reed and his staff. In addition, special appearances will be made by members of the Bulldogs coaching staff, as well as former and current Bulldogs players. All campers will receive a Bulldogs Hockey Camp jersey, tickets to a Bulldogs 2014-2015 regular season home game and much more.
