
Hartzell Returns to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton

Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins News Release
WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - It was announced today that the Pittsburgh Penguins have assigned goaltender Eric Hartzell to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins from the Wheeling Nailers (ECHL).
Hartzell has gone 10-8-1 this year for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton with a 2.48 goals against average, a .901 save percentage and three shutouts. In 14 appearances with Wheeling, the 24-year old rookie netminder has posted a record of 8-5-1 with a 3.13 GAA, a .900 save percentage and one shutout.
In four seasons at Quinnipiac University, the native of White Bear, Minnesota posted a career record of 58-27-17 with a 1.96 goals-against average, .924 save percentage and 10 shutouts in 106 games.
The Penguins finish up their 2013-14 regular season with a pair of road contests next Friday in Binghamton and Saturday in Utica.
