
Bulldogs Begin Training Camp In Scotland This Week

HAMILTON, ON - The Hamilton Bulldogs will travel to Edinburgh, Scotland tomorrow to open their 2009-2010 training camp. The Bulldogs will participate in The Gardiner Cup, a four-team tournament to celebrate "Ice Hockey's Homecoming".
The 'Dogs will compete for the Gardiner Cup against the AHL's Toronto Marlies and the UK Elite League's Edinburgh Capitals and Belfast Giants. The Bulldogs will meet their archrival, the Marlies, in an exhibition contest at 2:00 p.m. EST on Thursday, September 24th. Hamilton will begin the four-team tournament with a semi-final game against the Belfast Giants at 12:30 p.m. EST on Saturday, September 26th. The two winning teams from Saturday's semi-final games will play for the Gardiner Cup in the Championship game at 12:30 p.m. EST on Sunday, September 27th while the two losing teams will face-off in the consolation final on Sunday at 8:30 a.m. EST.
The 'Dogs will travel back to Hamilton on September 28th before they head to Oshawa, Ontario for a pre-season match-up against the Marlies on September 30th at 7:00 p.m. at General Motors Centre. Fans can listen to every 'Dogs pre-season, regular season and post-season game in 2009-2010 on the flagship station of the Hamilton Bulldogs Hockey Network, Talk 820. Fans can also listen to or watch every game online on www.hamiltonbulldogs.com. All regular season radio and online broadcasts will begin with a pre-game show 30 minutes prior to the game's scheduled start time. Ellery Award-winning broadcaster Derek Wills will call the play-by-play of all 80 regular season games, while Al Craig will provide the colour commentary for all home games and select road games.
The 'Dogs will open the 2009-2010 regular season on Sunday, October 4th when they battle the Toronto Marlies at Ricoh Coliseum at 4:00 p.m. On Friday, October 9th the Bulldogs will host their first home game of the season when they welcome the Rockford IceHogs to Copps Coliseum for a 7:30 p.m. game.
