Budaj Brilliant in 2-0 Shutout Victory against Springfield

Peter Budaj earned the first home shutout of his career as the BEARS blanked the Springfield Falcons 2-0 at GIANT Center. Steve Brule picked up his 500th career AHL point in the first period, becoming the 68th AHL player to achieve the milestone. Shane Willis scored his 14th goal of the season, while Tomas Slovak picked up a goal and an assist. With the win, the BEARS moved within one point of first place in the East Division standings.

The BEARS play at Wilkes-Barre Friday night against the Penguins. Face-off is at 7:05 p.m.
