Bucs Acquire Forward Roy and Defenseman Gaitamirov in Trade with Muskegon

DES MOINES, IA - Des Moines has acquired Forward Harrison Roy (2000) and Defenseman Tamirlan Gaitamirov (2000) from the Muskegon Lumberjacks in exchange for Defenseman Grant Docter (2000).

"The Buccaneers want to thank Grant for his time as a Buccaneer, we wish him all the best with Muskegon," Head Coach Peter Mannino said. "We're really excited about our acquisitions. Harrison brings experience, speed and smart hockey IQ to our lineup. Tamirlan has a great compete level and plays a heavy game. Both are high character players and we're excited to add that to a room already full of character."

Roy is in his third USHL season and brings 119 games of USHL experience to Des Moines. The Lakeville, MA native was an alternate captain for the Lumberjacks and had two goals and two assists in nine games played this season for Muskegon.

Gaitamirov also brings a season of USHL experience having played a full season last year with the Fargo Force. The Astana, Kazakhstan born Defenseman has played in 11 games for the Lumberjacks this season.

The Bucs will be in action with their new teammates tomorrow night as Dubuque is back in town. There will be a special Golden Keg tapping of the new Buccaneer 40th Anniversary Beer brewed by Confluence Brewing Company. Lounge opens at 5:00 pm and free beer is available as long as the keg lasts. Puck drops at 6:35 vs. the Fighting Saints.
