Laredo is coming off of a thrilling 4-3 shootout win over Rocky Mountain Wednesday night. The Bucks lost a 3-1 third period lead, but then rallied to take the shootout in the sixth round in sudden death. Andrew Desjardins scored the game-winning goal in the shootout, with Chris Korchinski tallying the Bucks other shootout goal. Dustin Traylen was solid in net during the shootout, stopping five of the six Rage attempts. Traylen made 28 saves in the game. Jeff Bes, Derek Legault, and Serge Dube scored in regulation for Laredo.

Bes has climbed back into a tie for second in the CHL's scoring race with 66 points (27-39=66), just three points begind Arizona's Alex Leavitt who has 69 (25-44=69).

Laredo comes into tonight's game with a six point lead on Arizona in the race for the number one seed in the Southern Conference, and a large 23 point lead in the Southeast Division over second-place Corpus Christi (58 to35).

The RiverKings come into tonight's game on a three-game winning streak, including the last two on the road. Mississippi is two points behind Colorado for third place in the conference, and 11 points behind Bossier-Shreveport for first.

Last night the RiverKings used three third period goals to beat Corpus Christi 4-1 at the American Bank Center. Four different players tallied the goals, with Rick Kozak picking up the eventual game winner early in the third.

Ryan Campbell leads the RiverKings in scoring with 44 points (17-27=40).

The Bucks hold a 1-0 edge on the RiverKings this season, winning 5-2 on January 3rd at the LEC. Laredo scored three second period goals to pull out the win.

After tonight the Bucks will host the Tulsa Oilers for the only time this season Saturday night at the LEC. It will be Hal's Landing Night with the first 2,500 fans receiving $5 coupon's at Hals.
