3 hits, 3 RBI, 3 runs, and a birthday home run for Deion Thompson (3-5) helped lead the Waterloo Bucks (7-12) past the St. Cloud Rox (10-10) by a 9-6 final.

Skyler Messinger (3-4, R) had a big day at the plate for Waterloo, as did Dawnoven Smith (2-5, 2B, 2 RBI) and Brendan Hueth (2-5, R, 2 RBI).

Blake Walden (2-0) earned his second victory of the season for the Bucks, allowing 3 earned over 5.0 innings on 6 hits and a walk to go with 5 strikeouts. Connor Johnson picked up a hold by firing 2.0 shutout innings, and Karl Hirsch recorded his second save of 2018 by finishing off the final 2.0 frames.

The Bucks are off on Monday, and resume play on Tuesday as they begin a 6 game road trip in Eau Claire at 6:35 p.m.
