Huntsville Havoc News Release
HUNTSVILLE, AL â Huntsville Havoc head coach, John Gibson, announced today that forward Dan Buccella has been called to Memphis of the Central Hockey League for one game Tuesday night against Bossier-Shreveport. He will return to Huntsville in time for the Thursday game against Winston-Salem.
"This is what our league is trying to do, develop players to give them an opportunity at the AA level," Gibson said. "I have started a good working relationship with Coach Mark Richards of the Memphis Riverkings and I am excited that he is giving Bucky a look. If anyone deserves a shot it's Bucky."
Buccella has played in all seven games for the Havoc this season. He leads the team with eight points (2G, 8A). He had four assists in the win over Asheville Saturday night. He went to camp with the Oklahoma City Blazers earlier this season after playing for the Huntsville Channel Cats last season. He played in all 56 regular-season games and finished fifth on the team in points with 49 and fourth in goals scored with 25. He is originally from Woodstock, Ontario.
