Asheville Aces News Release
Asheville, NC-- Dan Buccella's four assists and a pair of goals from Mike Degurse, along with a physical presence, aided the Huntsville Havoc to a 5-2 victory over the Asheville Aces in front of a crowd of 2,439. The loss snapped Asheville's four game win streak. Huntsville also got goals from Aaron Lewis, Greg Snitowsky and Luke Phillips. Asheville got goals from Peter Bournazakis and Martin Viazanica.
Coach Jeff Brubaker was extremely verbal following the contest and had this to say: "We got âb****-slapped' by a bigger, tougher team. We are going to address that. We played every team in the league except Columbus and Huntsville is the biggest, toughest team we faced so far. Our lack of size hasn't been a factor so far but tonight, Huntsville out-muscled us off the puck all night."
The Aces will regroup and get ready for one of their biggest challenges when they play four games in four nights beginning with Winston-Salem on Wednesday at the Civic Center. The Aces will spend Thanksgiving on the road when they play Knoxville, return home to face Fayetteville on Friday, then conclude the four game in four night set with a road contest against the Macon Trax on Saturday.
The holidays are coming and the Aces have gift giving ideas for the hockey fan in your family. The Aces offer two voucher packages, the FANFLEX and BONUSBOOKS. The Aces also have an array of souvenir items, perfect for that special gift in your family. For more information, contact the Aces at (828) 350-7777.
