Bruins Shut Out Silvertips, 3-0

Chilliwack, BC - Led by a 37 save shutout performance by Lucas Gore, the Chilliwack Bruins defeated the Silvertips 3-0. Luke Siemens made 27 saves in net for the ‘Tips. Despite the loss, Everett will be making their eighth consecutive WHL playoff appearance after Portland defeated Seattle Saturday night. The Silvertips will be taking on the Winterhawks in the first round of the WHL playoffs. The series will start one week from tonight on Saturday, March 26th in Portland. After a scoreless first period, Roman Horak scored his 26th goal of the season on the power play just 39 seconds into the second period. Horak's goal gave Chilliwack a 1-0 lead after the end of the second period. Second star of the night, Kevin Sundher scored his first goal of the night at 5:51. Sundher's goal came shorthanded to give the Bruins a 2-0 lead. Chilliwack concluded the scoring at 9:05 of the third period with Sundher's 24th goal of the season to give the Bruins a 3-0 victory.

This brings the ‘Tips record to 28-32-7-4 with 67 points in 71 games played. Everett concludes the 2010-2011 regular season Sunday evening at 5:00 pm against the Vancouver Giants.
