Playoff Schedule Unveiled

Brandon, MB. -- The Brandon Wheat Kings will meet the Medicine Hat Tigers in the opening round of the 2011 Western Hockey League playoffs.

The Wheat Kings, who clinched sixth place in the WHL's Eastern Conference with an 8-4 victory over the visiting Moose Jaw Warriors on Saturday night before over 5,700 fans at Westman Place, will kick off the best of seven series next weekend in Alberta.

The series will then shift to the MTS Centre, as the annual Royal Manitoba Winter Fair has forced the Wheat Kings to play their first round playoff home games in Winnipeg.

Following is the complete schedule of Brandon's opening round playoff series:

While Brandon finished the season with a record of 32-31-1-8, the Tigers were 45-18-4-4 entering their final regular season game on Sunday night.

Tickets to games three and four in Winnipeg will go on sale Monday morning at 10 a.m. at the MTS Centre, the Keystone Centre box office or online at ticketmaster.ca. Western Manitoba hockey fans can order Toll Free at 1-855-985-5000.
