Brown Named PCL Hitter Of The Week

SALT LAKE CITY - The Pacific Coast League announced today that Salt Lake Bees infielder Matt Brown has been named the PCL Hitter of the Week. Brown blistered PCL pitching with a .471 (24-for-51) average with four home runs and 13 RBI while also hitting for the cycle against Tucson on Wednesday, April 9.

The Bellevue, Wash. native is in his second year with Salt Lake and helped lead the Bees to an impressive 10-1 record after the first week and a half of the season. In his 11 games, he scored 17 runs and hit seven doubles and two triples, finishing with an impressive .922 slugging percentage. Brown made his major league debut with the Angels in 2007, going hitless in four games.
