
Broncos Acquire Netminder Groenheyde from Oil Kings

Swift Current, SK - Swift Current Bronco General Manager and Head Coach, Mark Lamb has announced that the club has acquired veteran netminder Jon Groenheyde from the Edmonton Oil Kings in exchange for veteran forward Jordan Peddle.
Groenheyde currently posts a 2.77 GAA and a .885 save percentage in one game played so far this season. The 6'4", 197 pound 20 year old product from Surrey, BC has recorded a career 3.66 GAA and .890 save percentage in over three WHL seasons.
Peddle leaves Swift Current after three seasons with the Broncos. The 5'10", 186 pound product of Elbow, SK was listed by the Broncos in 2007. He has totaled 64 points (24G, 40A) in 198 games played so far in his WHL career.
Groenheyde is expected to be in the line-up for Saturday's home game against the Lethbridge Hurricanes.
