Brockton got the best of Elmira in a pitcher's duel between Brian Buchanon and Julio LaSalle, winning 4-2. Buchanon pitched eight innings allowing just two runs, while LaSalle lasted seven, giving up three. A Kris Zacuto homer in the second, a two-run job over the left field wall, gave Brockton the lead. The Rox added another in the third on a Saul Bustos sacrifice fly. Jobu Morita homered in the third for Elmira. Bustos finished 2-for-3 for the Rox.
