Bristol Baseball, Inc., operator of the Bristol Pirates, will honor the Big League Baseball team for District Five, which recently captured the Tennessee state championship, in pregame ceremonies on Tuesday, July 28, 2015.
The ceremonies will precede that evening's game between the Pirates and the Greeneville Astros, and will begin at approximately 6:10 p.m. The gates for that evening's game, which begins at 7 p.m., will open at 5:30 to allow fans to arrive early and enjoy the ceremonies.

The District Five team moved on to compete in the regional tournament in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Members of the team attend several local high schools, including Sullivan Central, Sullivan East, Sullivan South, Davy Crockett, and Tennessee High.
Several dignitaries are scheduled to be in attendance to honor the District Five team Tuesday, including Lt. Gov. Ron Ramsey, state Representatives Jon Lundberg and Matthew Hill, Sullivan County Mayor Richard Venable, Sullivan County Sheriff Wayne Anderson, and representatives from the City of Bristol, Tennessee.
