In yesterday's matchup on, June 16, between the Brockton Rox and the Bristol Blues, the Blues were able to come away with a 3-1 win in front of 1000 students who took a field trip to witness the two teams play.
The Blues won the game on the back of an exciting second inning where all three runs were earned on RBI's by Ryan Rinsky (Ramopo), Griffin Garabedian (UCONN) and Tyler Packanik (Marietta).
Starting pitcher for the Blues, Dom LoBrutto (Florida International), went six innings without allowing an earned run to get the win and Ty Robinson (Northeastern) picked up the save after hurling two innings with two strikeouts. Rox pitcher Justin Sinibaldi was given the loss in the 3-1 game.
The Blues travel to Seacoast tonight, June 17, to take on the Seacoast Mavericks. The Blues are now 6-5 and hold first place in the West Division in the FCBL.
