LoBrutto Lifts Blues to Game Two Win, FCBL Championship Finale Tomorrow

The Bristol Blues post season continues onward as the Blues win 1-0 in dramatic fashion over the Worcester Bravehearts to force a game 3 at Muzzy Field tomorrow, August 15, at 5pm.
The Blues owe a large part of the win to Dominic LoBrutto (Florida International) who pitched eight innings, allowing no earned runs on just two hits to earn the win. Robert Paccione (LIU Post) came in to relieve the starter and handled the top of the Bravehearts batting order to earn the save and tie the series at 1 apiece.
The Blues only run came from a wild pitch all the way in the first inning that held strong through nine frames to close the game out.
The Blues will look to be the second team in a row to win the FCBL championship in their first season of competition tomorrow night at 5pm when incoming UCONN freshman Tim Cate will take the mound for the Blues.
