Ryan Kelly went 2-5, helping the Marthas Vineyard Sharks (8-2) to a 7-4 victory over the Pittsfield Suns (5-5) on Tuesday at Vineyard Baseball Park.
He tripled in the first inning and singled in the second inning.
Jeff Gelinas picked up the win for the Marthas Vineyard Sharks. Gelinas allowed one earned run, four hits and two walks while striking out four over six innings of work.
Brendan Geary racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Pittsfield Suns. He homered in the fourth inning.
Frank Lemieux was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked two, struck out one, and allowed four runs.
