Pittsfield Suns News Release
Santa's in the house tonight, but we'll have ice on Saturday!
Before we talk promotions, can we take a moment to acknowledge the incredible game last night?! Westfield stormed out of the sun delay to take a 10-2 lead, but the Suns never gave up. They chipped away, fought back, and scored in every inning from the 4th on. Nate Cormier's RBI double in the 8th inning gave the Suns a 13-12 lead and provided the final margin in Pittsfield's most improbable victory of the season. The Suns--and their fans!--showed a lot of heart with the playoffs right around the corner.
The battle-tested Suns are right back at it tonight for Christmas in July, presented by Berkshire Bank. Santa will be at Wahconah Park, and so will the Christmas spirit. Bring a canned good to donate to the Salvation Army and you'll get free admission! The gates open at 5:45 PM, with game time set for 6:30 PM.
To close out the week, we offer these three words:
WIN. DIAMOND. EARRINGS.
We're not fooling around, either. Thanks to our friends at Hannoush Jewelers, the Suns will give away a pair of diamond earrings worth nearly $1,200! (We'll pause to let that sink in.)
It'll take place on Saturday, July 27, and we're calling it our first-ever Diamond Dash, presented by Hannoush Jewelers. All ladies 18 years of age and older will be eligible to participate. The Diamond Dash will take place after the game, so join us for the all the Suns action, then stick around for your chance to take home a pair of diamond earrings! Game time is 6:00 PM, and gates open at 5:15 PM.
