
Roman and Garland Have Big Days as Titans Outscore Rox 10-8

Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Wednesday as the Torrington Titans (6-5) outscored the Brockton Rox (5-6) 10-8.
The two teams combined for 23 hits in the game.
The Titans had two players record four RBIs in this game. Nick Garland (CCSU) racked up four RBIs on three hits and Joel Roman (Fairleigh Dickinson) had all four of his one one swing of the bat, a grand slam in the 8th inning to put the Titans ahead for good.
Alex Fishberg (Iona) improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Torrington Titans. He allowed one run over two innings. Fishberg struck out two, walked one and gave up three hits. John Russell (UConn-Avery Point)Â came in to pitch the final two innings and record his first save of the season and his first save as a member of the Titans.
Adam Falcon was charged with his first loss of the year for the Rox. He did not get an out while walking three and allowing three runs in the 8th inning.
The Titans improve to 6-5 on the season and will be back in action on Thursday night at home against the North Shore Navigators at 7 p.m.
